The Amherst Hockey Association hosts a thriving Girls’ Division that recruits, retains, and builds solid skills for girl players with on- and off-ice training, social events, league games, co-ed and girls’ teams, and more.

For the 2023/2024 season, we are offering full-time 16U/19U and 14U girls’ teams and part-time 12U and 10U teams. If there is sufficient interest we will explore a full time U12 team.  Our teams play in the Connecticut Girls Hockey League (CGHL), and compete in independent games against NEGHL opponents.

We will likely also offer our Girls' House Team. The house team typically has 10-20 girls, many of whom are brand-new to hockey. Historically, 2-5 of our house team players move on to travel teams each year.

The Amherst Hockey Association is delighted to be one of the leaders in promoting girls’ hockey in western Massachusetts. Visit the registration page for pricing and to register. If you have questions about the girls’ division, please contact our Girls Division Director, Kristin Balboni at  .
